THERE IS ALSO THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPLETE AN NVQ IF YOU PROVE YOURSELF. YOU WILL BE TRAINED IN EVERYTHING FROM THE PREP TO THE FINISH, AND IN ALL KINDS OF DECORATING TASKS, FROM PLAIN STAINING OF HARDWOOD EXTERNAL JOINERY TO SPECIALIST TECHNIQUES IN PARTICULAR ROOMS TO EXPERT PAPER HANGING. YOU WILL BE SET UP FOR EMPLOYMENT WHEN YOU FINISH.

Complete Level 1 basic theory course.
By the end of Level 2, trainees should have had the opportunity to take tests and acquire:
- CSCS
- Driving Theory
- Emergency First Aid
- Manual handling
- Working at Heights
- Health & Safety
Examples of dept skills you can learn:
- Types and use of tools, brushes and paints
- Prep work
- Filling
- Priming
- Undercoat
- Gloss / eggshell / oil based paint
- Emulsion ceiling
- Emulsion walls
- Keeping and leaving work area tidy and clean
Increasing work experience and skill level.
