Our Building Maintenance Department can help you to...
- Get your licence to work on sites (CSCS Card)
- Get Working at Heights, Manual Handling & Emergency First Aid qualifications
- Learn basework, bricklaying and brickwork repair
- Do block paving and concreting
- Gain a range of light building experience
- Digger, Dumper or Forklift licences may be possible
- No prior experience is necessary as full training is given

Complete Level 1 basic theory course.
- CSCS
- Driving Theory
- Emergency First Aid
- Manual handling
- Working at Heights
- Health & Safety
Examples of dept skills you can learn:
- Using a trowel
- Making a mix
- Building a range of different walls and corners
- Gutter
- Gulley
- Brickwork repair
- Drains
- Experience on a range of power tools
- Basework – basic setting out of walls
- Block paving
- Rendering practice
- Plastering practice
Increasing work experience and skill level.
Complete Level 2 basic theory course
By the end of Level 2, trainees should have had the opportunity to take tests and acquire:
- CSCS
- Driving Theory
- Emergency First Aid
- Manual handling
- Working at Heights
- Health & Safety
Examples of dept skills you can learn:

Trainees who prove themselves and for whom it is deemed appropriate there may be opportunities to extend the placement and achieve a deeper level of work experience and skill.
Trainees might get the opportunity to work toward or achieve some part of the following:

- Digger, Dumper or Forklift licences may be possible
