  • Learn welding techniques using MMA & MIG
  • Develop forging techniques, making a range of pieces of increasing complexity and skill
  • Use a comprehensive range of metal workshop machinery
  • Get your licence to work on sites (CSCS Card)
  • A college course NVQ L2 for trainees who prove themselves
  • No prior experience is necessary as full training is given

Learning basics of the trade and gaining work experience.

Complete Level 1 basic theory course.

By the end of Level 2, trainees should have had the opportunity to take tests and acquire:

  • CSCS
  • Driving Theory
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Manual handling
  • Working at Heights
  • Health & Safety

Examples of dept skills you can learn:

  • Welding techniques, MMA and MIG.
  • Understanding and using the forge, basic forging techniques, forging hot steel, making scrolls and tapering points
  • Using a comprehensive range of metal workshop machinery
  • Making a range of pieces of increasing complexity and skill
  • Understanding paint mixes and using the spray gun

Increasing work experience and skill level.
